Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), Tripura is a name synonymous with dedicated services that enable persons whose lives are afflicted by disabilities. To address the local/regional problems of PWD’s and in order to fulfil the national objectives, Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC) was established.
CRC Tripura was inaugurated on 8th June, 2018 by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India and functioning under the administrative control of National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities(NILD), Kolkata.
CRC, Tripura is an apex institute in the region having tripartite functions of training, research and services to the persons with all types of disabilities. CRC, Tripura is progressing towards building capacities to empower persons with disabilities through long and short term human resource development programmes, development of service models, documentation and dissemination of information, Community Based Rehabilitation, Extension and Outreach Programme, fabrication and fitment of aids & appliances and “reach the un-reached” in the region has been a major focus of the centre.
CRC believes that a person may be physically disabled, but there is nothing to impair the spirit for life, to live well and to live with dignity. It is with this belief and commitment to better the lives of the differently-abled that the CRC was incepted in 2018. Today, it continues to stand committed as the singular, steadfast force that the fraternity across the country can count on… Welcome to an organization that does not think the differently-abled are different, but just one among us.
